你期待的是什麼

夜深未眠走到別人的網站去蹓躂,無意中看到一篇文章,談及期待這個問題,並提議分享。於是有感而發,留下了以下一段感想：

你的期待是什麼呢﹖願意分享嗎﹖(節錄自散文集網主Elaine的文章"期待")

這讓我憶起中學時候歷史老師曾參演的話劇,劇名是"等待果陀"...
故事講述一名富翁與他的奴隸一直在一棵大樹下等待果陀的出現,經過的人都問他們在等什麼,為什麼要在這裡等待。他們回答說只是聽別人說,只要等到果陀的出現,他們便會得到想要的東西...
如是者過了很多年,然後又很多年,一年復一年,果陀依舊沒有出現,但富翁瞎了眼,奴隸啞了,而他們所等待的果陀依舊沒有出現...
路過的人覺得他們很愚蠢,因為他們連果陀是什麼都不知道,卻深信他必定能幫助他們獲得他們所想要的東西。
在故事中果陀即是神,God的諧音,故此他們實際要找到的是神,然而他們不懂神,於是也無法找到祂。
最後,我想分享的是,我沒有期待,又或是我沒有一刻不在期待;有時候太著意理解一件事情,反而會更不理解它。
每天都是新的一天,每一刻都在期待美好的事情,相信這是每個人的希望與期待的事情,願望只是以大大小小的形式,明顯與不明顯的形式,察覺與不察覺的形式展現罷了。

給你一說好像記起讀書時也看過這故事。Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett.
那個play 屬於theatre of the Absurd. play裡頭談及人的存在和生命的意義。
舊筆記--（the notion is similar to the essence of human existence because the purpose of human existence in this play changes into waiting and the whole life is just a process of waiting. As beckett implies in the play that in our lives, we can do nothing but to wait for god's salvation and so live are meaingless and withour essence. To convey the theme of nothingness, several writing techniques are being used, they are cross-talk, the ambiguity of the names of the characters, the theme of nothingness is repeated, the use of allusion, and the circular and repetitive structure）

我個人覺得這個play是很悶很閃的。所以它基本上是成功的！

謝謝亞維提供寶貴資料!
認同,這齣劇真是很沉悶,以我當年的資質,實在無法理解到它所要傳達的意思。當時我的歷史老師飾演劇中的奴隸,他的演技僅屬一般水平,直至變成啞巴後半瘋癲地又跑又跳又叫喊,我才能感受到他對演出的投入和誠意。
劇結束以後我還跟同學談起此劇的象徵意義,與及老師的個人情感問題。我們都認為老師並不甘心當一個老師,他有著別的理想,可能是話劇,也可能是別的什麼;故此演話劇可能是理想的實踐,也可能是追求理想而無法達成所作的情感轉移。
他有一位相交很久的同居女友,經常被她纏著要他娶她,而他一直在拖延著婚期。
我跟同學說,我曾看過老師拖著女友走在街上,那平靜卻沒帶任何希冀的木然表情,跟他女友的滿心歡喜,形成強烈的對比。
也許是我的錯覺,然而那刻我直覺得老師不太高興現時的生活,同樣地,對身邊的女友亦沒有太大的熱情與愛,他困在自己的死胡同裡。
老師對生活的不滿與無力感,在我仍幼嫩的心中,造成不多不少的震盪。

想起此事,才發現自己從小便用這種近距離的角度,去看身邊的一切人和物,故此也更早地對人生充滿疑問...

你好、無意間發現這篇文章
等待果陀是兩位流浪漢在等待一個叫果陀的人物
而POZZO跟LUCKY也就是你說的富翁跟僕人
他們只是路過那裡跟兩位流浪漢進行沒有意義的對話
果陀有人引申為上帝、也有人說"Godot" = "to God"
劇中說只要果陀來了他們就得救了
果陀沒來就去上吊....暗喻果陀是救世主

我覺得這本書很難理解、就算我看了10次...還是要再努力...
